According to the Federal target program «Children of Russia» (2007-2010), with a decrease in infant mortality to 8.8 per 1000 live births, maternal mortality to 20.5 per 100 thousand live births, under-fours mortality rate (inclusive) - up to 10.9 per 1000 newborns of the relevant year of birth will give an economic benefit of about 19 billion rubles.
Reference: in 2016, 1,859,854 babies were delivered.
